Entry Requirements into Singapore 1. What are the entry requirements into Singapore? All travelers are required to go through immigration clearance on arrival into Singapore. The granting of social visit passes to visitors is determined by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the point of entry. Visitors must satisfy the following basic entry requirements before they are allowed to enter Singapore : - A passport with at least 6 months validity;
- Valid Singapore visa, if applicable;
- Sufficient funds to last for the intended period of stay in Singapore;
- Confirmed onward / return tickets (where applicable); and
- Entry facilities to their onward destinations, e.g. visas.

1. What items are not allowed to be brought into Singapore? The following items are NOT allowed to be brought into Singapore :
- Liquors and cigarettes marked with the words "SINGAPORE DUTY NOT PAID" on the labels, cartons or packets
- Cigarettes with the prefix "E" printed on the packets
- Chewing gum
- Chewing tobacco and imitation tobacco products
- Cigarette lighters of pistol or revolver shape
- Controlled drugs and psychotropic substances
- Endangered species of wildlife and their by-products
- Firecrackers
- Obscene articles, publications, video tapes/discs and software
- Reproduction of copyright publications, video tapes, video compact discs,
- laser discs, records or cassettes
- Seditious and treasonable materials
Top 2. Can I bring in meat products for my personal consumption? Certain goods are allowed entry into Singapore only when you produce the import permit or authorisation from the relevant authorities. If you do not have the import permit or authorisation, the item will be detained and referred it to the relevant authority for approval. 3. Do I need to have a doctor’s prescription for the medicine that I am bringing in? If you need to bring in medicines (especially sleeping pills, depressants, stimulants, etc.) for your physical well-being while travelling, you must possess a physician’s prescription certifying so.

1. Why should my luggage be checked? Under the law, you are required to produce, open, unpack your baggage for Customs examination and to repack it thereafter. You may be directed to the X-ray machine for scanning of your baggage. Please declare any dutiable / taxable goods or goods in excess of your GST / duty-free concession to the officer beforeyour luggage is scanned.
